Gloria Rodas
Research Apprentice
Gloria Rodas is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC Berkeley majoring in Media Studies with a concentration in Digital Studies. For the D+M, Gloria is working on a comparative analysis of human rights conditions for women in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Specifically, she examines the rationale for U.S. sanctions policy against Nicaragua and yet not against Guatemala, which erases the empirical evidence of women's rights as a factor in its assessment of human rights and democracy. This project is closely aligned with her own academic interests.
