Hello! My name is Jasmine Ramirez Esquivel and I am a first- generation Latinx student at UC Berkeley. I am studying Social Welfare and I am minoring in Chicanx Studies on a pre-law track. I am a motivated scholar that always puts my best effort into everything I do because I am eager to open myself up to new, life-changing experiences. I also love to play basketball and sing. I am a passionate community activist who is always looking to help others and am so excited to be part of the Democracy + Media as a research assistant! I am looking forward to researching and uncovering narratives that have been silenced throughout history.
