Brissa is a graduate of UC Berkeley who majored in English with a minor in Journalism. She is currently working on a community-based project, named Block-by-Block, which is about cultivating community power through reading circles/reading brigades in California’s Central Valley. She is interested in the way different types of media affect democracy, learning more about Latin American liberation movements, and is currently working closely with Mylo on other potential Demox media projects.
